Candle Care

Looking after your wax and wick ensures you will get the best from your candle. For your first burn, make sure you burn for long enough that there is a pool of wax at the top, do no burn any longer than 4 hours continuously. Let your candle return to room temperature before lighting again. Ensure your wick it kept to no longer than 5mm, it is best to trim with wick trimmers as they catch the burnt spent wick and you can discard safely. Make sure no spent wick bits are in the wax as they can smoke. When your candle is 1cm from the base discontinue lighting, as it will heat up the base and could cause heat damage to the surface it is sitting on. For your safety never leave a burning candle unattended, do not burn in drafts or burn near flammable objects such as curtains.
